Esthetics Skincare Programs
The FORTIS Esthetics Skincare program provides students with hands-on training in beautifying the human body. Training covers areas such as makeup and color analysis, mask and spa therapies, hair removal, enzyme treatments, and body wrapping. Students are instructed on the fundamentals of skincare and how to apply skincare treatments through proper usage of products and equipment protocols. Even more, students learn principles of effective retailing and general business development specific to the skincare profession.
The skincare industry is booming, fueled by a shift in mdemand from older consumers to a growing younger consumer base who too seek ways of minimizing the signs of aging through beauty and wellness techniques. Such shift has significantly increased the need for qualified, licensed estheticians charged with helping others to look and feel their best. In fact, the career growth for estheticians within the next decade is expected to grow 11%, a rate that is much faster than average, according the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Upon graduation, students are qualified for entry-level employment as an esthetician with many career opportunities to consider, including those found in the travel industry such as on cruise ships, resort spas, medical facilities, and more.
