Before I attended Fortis I was working in bars, working in restaurants, serving drinks, serving food, cooking food, dirty work.

I’ve always been interest in the medical field. I chose to do medical assisting because of the length of the program; it being 9 months and me having small children; and I needed to do something quickly. I needed more stability in my career.

That education has made me a better person for my family, for my children because I’m proud of myself.

Now I work Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 banker’s hour’s job and I get to be home and help my son with his homework and cook dinner and I couldn’t have asked for a better schedule.
