Before Fortis I worked as a resident supervisor for a local community corrections agency. I’ve had other jobs in the healthcare field. I’ve been a home health aide. I’ve been a state tested nursing assistant. I’ve had a lot of jobs but no careers.

My sons had graduated from high school and they were all going off to college and it was important for me to take the next step to become a professional. They were moving in that direction and I wanted to be there also. And, also, I’ve been blessed in the healthcare profession, I’ve met a lot of nice people, I’ve been able to help a lot of people. And being a nurse was just the next logical progression.
