The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program has been approved by and meets the educational requirements for becoming a licensed EMT in the state of Alabama.
We have not made a determination for the following states*: AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY.
Those who successfully graduate from the EMT program may be eligible to take the practical and cognitive portions of the National Registry of EMTs certification exam. Approval to take the examination is not automatic. Successfully passing both the practical and cognitive portions of the National Registry of EMTs certification exam is one of several requirements for licensure.
