I chose the Medical Assistant program because I wanted a career, not just a succession of jobs. My sister encouraged me to consider the programs at FORTIS College; I looked into it and picked the Medical Assisting one.

The school experience was a good one; I learned to trust others (you had to for needle sticks!); I met a lot of new people and made some friends; and I worked with many different teachers and instructors. The course itself was doable, getting here early in the a.m. wasn’t so easy but Ms. Riley made sure we were here and on time. Working part-time while doing the course was difficult but I managed it and I am proud of my achievement and looking forward to a career in healthcare.
