My son was 13 years old and he got diagnosed with cancer and I spent as a single mom taking care of my son and going to the hospital and observing the care and that’s what did it for me.

I am a medical assistant and I work in Logan, Utah and I love the job, it’s at an urgent care.

My Fortis education has gave me the hope not to give up and there was times I had no self-esteem, I didn’t know where I was going to be, where I was going to go and Fortis College gave me that direction. 

As a single mom going to school at 50 years old I couldn’t have done it without my college friends and my college instructors.
