I knew that I needed a career change and Fortis was a good choice for me. The dental hygiene program at that time was fairly new here at Fortis.

After I graduated from Fortis and I became a licensed dental hygienist - I worked in private practice for four years and I dealt directly with patient care which was wonderful.

I decided I wanted to teach hygiene and I was lucky enough to be able to come back to Fortis and become an instructor.

My family is happy that I have a professional career. My children are happy that I’m not working every weekend anymore like I was when they were little. They see that my hard work paid off.
