ERIE, Pa. – (July 5, 2011) – Tri-State Business Institute, a leading post-secondary education institution in Erie, Pa., has changed its name to Fortis Institute.
The school and its ownership remain the same and, as part of the collaborative Fortis network of colleges and institutes, the Erie campus will continue to embrace the same core values for which it is known. But now it also will be able to draw upon additional resources and have access to higher level educational program offerings and technology.
“The word ‘Fortis’ is derived from Greek roots and literally means strength and power. Our move to the Fortis name demonstrates our commitment to providing students in Erie with the most powerful learning environment available today,” said Campus President Guy Euliano.
According to Euliano, the name may have changed, but the strong relationship that exists between his campus and students and the community at large will continue…and likely will grow through its expanded resources, enhanced expertise and the strength in numbers the affiliation with other campuses brings. Tri-State Business Institute has been an integral part of Erie and surrounding communities for 27 years.
“We will still be Erie’s campus, but now will have more to share and give back to students, businesses and extern partners. We believe the best just got even better,” Euliano added.
