Fortis College, Ravenna, located at 653 Enterprise Parkway, will host its fourth annual Breakfast with Santa event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 10. The family event is free and open to the public.

About 200 to 250 people attend each year for a breakfast of pancakes and sausages, served by Fortis College Honor Society students.

There is a craft workshop where each child designs a snowman measuring stick. In addition, there are photo opportunities with Mr. and Mrs. Claus as well as gifts from Santa for the first 200 children in attendance.

"This event is the idea of Human Resource Manager Melissa Koher, a member of the Fortis team for more than 10 years and adviser to the Honor Society," said Campus President Sonya Hartburg.

"We are proud to be a part of Ravenna and enjoy the opportunity to host an event that is open to the greater community."

Raffle tickets are sold at the breakfast with all proceeds benefiting the Center of Hope in Ravenna.

"My favorite part is watching the children's expressions when Mr. and Mrs. Claus appear," said Koher. "It's a magical moment that makes this annual event a winner."
