WAYNE, N.J. – (December 9, 2010) – Berdan Institute, a leading post-secondary education institution in Wayne, N.J., has become Fortis Institute.
As part of the collaborative Fortis network of colleges and institutes, the Wayne campus will continue to embrace the same core values for which it is known throughout the seven surrounding New Jersey counties. But now it also will be able to draw upon additional resources and have access to higher level educational program offerings and technology.
“The word ‘Fortis’ is derived from Greek roots and literally means strength and power. Our move to the Fortis brand demonstrates our commitment to providing students in Wayne and the surrounding seven counties with the most powerful learning environment available today,” said School President Wes Leibig.
According to Leibig, the name may have changed, but the strong relationship that exists between his campus and students and the community at large will continue…and is likely to grow through its expanded resources, enhanced expertise and the strength in numbers the affiliation with other campuses brings. Berdan Institute has been an integral part of the community for more than 40 years and is the only CODA (Commission on Dental Accreditation) proprietary school available in Northern New Jersey.
“We will still be Wayne’s campus, but now will have more to share and give back to students, businesses and extern partners. We believe the best just got even better,” Leibig added.
