I decided to do a Medical Assistant program so that I could get a career program that would get me a good professional future. I was also influenced by my grandmother who trained to be a Medical Assistant and then went on for other education and training and is still in healthcare.
My experience with the program at Fortis College, Columbia was great; I met new friends and became more social. The teachers were great and very helpful, especially Mr. Hartley who encouraged me forward when I needed it. Ms. Yarbrae also gets special mention for her assistance.
I wanted to make my family proud of me, and they are because I did complete the program. I am working as a Medical Assistant at a general medical family practice and learning a lot and developing my skills.
