The reason for the change from the retail business into the medical assistant was because I got laid off so I needed something with job security and I wanted to make sure that I would never go through what I went through before.

As of now I am a certified medical assistant at a doctor’s office for internal medicine. And I just absolutely love it because every day there is something different.

The most influential people in my life have been the Fortis instructors, of course. They’ve always been around from the beginning to the end, for ups and downs, just for everything; and, of course, my family, my daughter.

Me going back to school has made a great impact on my daughter because she knows now that the learning it never stops.
