I always wanted to come back to school to further my education. I spent a lot of time going back and forth to healthcare providers with my parents and from what I saw; I felt I could be a better caregiver. I was also looking for a quick career change and I had seen the Fortis College commercial on TV and came to check out program options and signed up for the Medical Assistant course. The course would give me a new credential in as little as ten months, which was ideal.

I loved the program, it wasn’t easy of course but I enjoyed the demands that learning required, and acquiring all that new knowledge was stimulating and interesting. The program instructors were great and I also made many new friends from among my student colleagues. I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout and was very proud to complete what I started, and in such a strong fashion.

I was hired quickly upon graduation and am enjoying my new position and look forward to a fruitful career in healthcare.
