The “Fortis Difference” isn’t just a slogan. We’ve built our network of institutes and colleges around core values of connection, support, understanding, and high standards for faculty and staff. Students are not just “customers” at Fortis—you are valued members of our community. Your success is our success.
The student-faculty ratio at Fortis means class sizes that allow for personal attention, both in-person and online. Regardless of your program, you’ll have access to your instructors to ask questions and learn essential skills for your career. Our instructors are often working professionals in their fields, taking students beyond the textbook and offering the knowledge you really need to succeed.
KNOWLEDGEABLE, CONNECTED CAREER SERVICES
By enrolling at Fortis, you’ll have access to career resources: experienced, locally-knowledgeable Career Services advisors, connections with employers, career databases, and other resources. It is our #1 job to see that you get the support and resources throughout your program (and beyond) to make sure you are matched with the job opportunities you have earned.
CARING, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Our representatives and advisors are here for you from day one, ready to help you with any problem they can—or work with you to find help from other sources. We understand that it’s hard to juggle school and your other responsibilities, so we’ve created a support system to help address all your needs. Whether you need financial aid advice, are experiencing personal challenges outside of the classroom, or need additional help with your studies, Fortis is here to help.
INVESTMENT IN TECHNOLOGY
Fortis invests in our facilities continually, making sure our students have access to industry-standard equipment and supplies. Our network of nursing simulation labs is one of the largest and most sophisticated in the world and comparable to the same technology used by the U.S. military to train combat nurses. Technology-driven libraries and resource centers in many of our campuses are open to students at times scheduled during normal campus hours.
