Associate of Applied Science Degree
The Associate of Applied Science program in Web Development prepares students for entry-level employment in the Information Technology field with a focus in Web Development. Students are taught skills applicable to building corporate websites and associated marketing tools in today’s “Web 2.0” environment. The curriculum emphasizes not only web design, but the integration of large databases and other applications to build fully featured e-commerce and socially networked sites. The program also emphasizes the use of high quality graphics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), web analytics, to assure that the web sites created are highly competitive. This program prepares students for entry-level positions such as Web Master, Website Developer, Web Manager, and Junior IT Specialist.
