NATE Core & Specialty Training
Technicians who have earned NATE certification have proven that they are the finest in the industry and proudly wear the NATE patch - a symbol recognized throughout the industry and to growing numbers of consumers as the mark of technician excellence.
Founded in 1997, NATE is the nation’s largest nonprofit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians.
NATE is the only technician certification organization governed, owned, operated, developed and supported by the HVACR industry. NATE’s certification tests represent real world working knowledge of HVACR systems.
All of the NATE tests are rigorous, multiple-choice, knowledge-based tests and validate a technician’s knowledge. After passing the “Core Service” or “Core Installation” exam, NATE candidates may earn Installation and/or Service certification in one or more of the following SPECIALTY areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Heat pumps
- Light Commercial Refrigeration
- Commercial Refrigeration
- Gas Furnaces
- Oil furnaces
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
Fortis College is offering a comprehensive review with testing. This review will cover the material needed for the exam of your choice. Students who successfully complete the NATE Core exam will receive a certificate of completion. Students who pass the NATE Core and a Specialty will receive a certificate of completion and be able to wear the NATE patch for their specialty.
This course is a non-accredited, non-credit continuing education course for professionals in the HVAC field.
