The Phlebotomy and Lab Assisting program prepares students to seek entry-level employment in a healthcare setting and to perform duties under the supervision of a nurse or a doctor. Typical duties for the Phlebotomy and Lab Assisting graduate include but are not limited to drawing blood from patients and blood donors, easing patients during procedures, verifying patient information, label blood for processing, data entry, assemble and maintain medical instruments such as needles, tubes etc.
