Dental hygienists are licensed oral healthcare professionals and provide primary patient care. In addition to cleaning teeth, dental hygienist education program at Fortis prepares students with the education and hands-on skills they need to provide other types of care including examining patients for signs of oral diseases and educating patients on good oral health practices.
