Fortis Celebrates National Nurses Week

NursingApril 30, 2013

Nurses are highly dedicated people who have a passion for helping others. Since 1991, the American Nurses Association has observed May 6-12 as National Nurses Week – a time to honor these selfless care-givers. From staff nurse to educator, and nurse practitioner to researcher, nurses serve on the frontlines of health care. Fortis Colleges and Institutes join in recognizing nurses for delivering quality and innovation in patient care – not just this week, but every day of the year. We are proud of nurses everywhere – but especially of the highly professional nurse instructors who teach our students…and of those nursing students who will become the next generation of care-givers to the communities we serve. Nursing is a very important offering in the health care education programs available at Fortis. Our instructors and students have helped make our nursing program a strong one. Having educated almost 5,000 students nationwide at more than 20 nursing campuses in 10 states, Fortis has received international recognition for its leadership in using nursing simulation technology to educate students while creating strong learning environments for tomorrow’s nurses. We also are proud of the fact the Fortis network of schools has grown to be one of the largest nursing education providers in the United States because of the commitment of our staff and students to this noble profession. They are mastering both the art…and the  science…of the nursing profession. To nurses, and nursing students, everywhere, we say “Thank You.” Thank you for the exemplary skills and knowledge you exhibit day-in, and day-out, and for putting personalized “care” into health care. If you’re passionate about delivering quality medical care, visit www.fortis.edu to learn more about a career in nursing. We’d love to have you as part of our team.
