Never Abandon Your Goals

Too many people in the military believe that they are not going to be able to continue with their education if they are moving with their spouse every couple of years. With the online technology and programs available today, you can see that this is not the case. There are many institutions with a wide variety of degree programs who offer very robust online learning platforms, often specifically tailored for the military family.

When researching your education options as a military spouse, you would be wise to go with a school that offers flexibility that is often not available with offline, traditional programs. It is finally possible for military spouses who are on the move with husbands and wives to make sure that they are able to get the education and training they need to be able to find viable employment and to have a career in a field that they love.

Another program to consider is The Spouse and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) program.  This program provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits. These benefits may be used for degree and certificate programs, apprenticeship, and on-the-job training. If you are a spouse, you may take a correspondence course. Remedial, deficiency, and refresher courses may be approved under certain circumstances.
