Barbering

Study the craft of barbering, including haircutting, hairstyling, coloring, nail technology, skin care and more. You will also learn about the business side of barbering and generating client referrals in this exciting program.

A Barber Stylist provides personal services to clientele relating to good grooming. These services include shampooing, hair styling, hair cutting, permanent waving, hair coloring, scalp and hair treatments, hair straightening, wigs, hairpieces, facials, and regular taper hair cutting. Alabama, Pennsylvania and Florida Barber school students are trained in the basic skills required to perform barber duties at the entry level.

Students at our barber schools in Erie, Jacksonville and Mobile will perform services in the salon clinic and in the classroom on mannequins. After the Barber Styling graduate passes the State examination, a license is received and the graduate is then available for entry-level shop work. In our program, students become familiar with business and sales principles, professional ethics, and psychology.

Students attending our barber school in Pennsylvania, Florida and Alabama will be able to perform in a supervised Student Barbering Clinic, during which you can participate in and perform actual cosmetology services with clients from the general public. Barber school students become familiar with job seeking skills to prepare them for entry into the barbering profession.
